As a life-long Houston resident, I’ve witnessed great transformation in our city. Our size alone positions us as a national trendsetter in public policy and social initiatives. Our economic foundation and ethnic diversity provides us with great potential for years to come. The growth and success of Houston has been good but we must be thoughtful and strategic about how we envision the future.
The leaders we elect to serve at City Hall will greatly influence the fate of our City. I’m excited to be one of those leaders and to put my 40 years of public service to work for all Houstonians. The knowledge I gathered while serving as City Director under Mayor Bill White and Chief of Staff for Mayor Pro-Tem Gordon Quan has provided me a valuable base upon which to serve as the next Council Member, At-Large Position 3.
Complete leadership means serving effectively in the public sector while understanding the intricacies of the private sector. Growing up in a family-owned business, serving as the president of the Asian Chamber of Commerce, and now as a partner in local communications firm, I’ll use what I’ve learned in the business sector along with my understanding of city government to hit the ground running from day one to tackle the challenges facing our city.
Thank you in advance for your support.
