  • Small Business Advocate — Grew up in a family-owned business, former President of the Asian Chamber of Commerce, now a partner in local communications firm.
  • Community Volunteer — Founder of the HOPE Clinic and over three decades in non-profits serving children and families, older adults, health, education and leadership.

I’ve spent my life in Houston, working, raising a family, and trying to give back to the community that has given me so much.

For more than 40 years, I’ve been drawn into public service. I’ve made my career working in local non-profits, such as the United Way of the Texas Gulf Coast, and the Child Abuse Prevention Network. These experiences taught me a lot about how to advocate for issues and fight for people. Getting something started is the easy part, seeing it through is where the real work lies.

I want to preserve, protect and promote Houston. The growth and success of Houston has been good but we must be thoughtful and strategic about how we envision the future. We need leadership that can look ahead with a vision for our city, based on citizens’ priorities. I want to work smarter and
more efficiently to address the urgent and growing needs of our residents to alleviate the flooding, road problems, mobility and waste issues we face today.

Our city has come a long way over the years, and I’m excited to help lead us into the future.
